The Caribbean 63C
Thank you for your interest in the Caribbean 63
Commercial Catamaran. This power cat, being built at the Cooper Marine Yard in St.
Petersburg, Florida is a state of the art fiberglass composite catamaran. The Caribbean 63
fills the need for comfort, speed, stability and economy in the day charter market
and at a remarkable price.
The hull is a one piece molded part using the latest
composite materials for maximum strength and low maintenance. The principal dimensions are
as follows:
LOA: 63
Fuel: 400 gallons
LWL: 583"
Standard engines: Twin 140 hp Yanmar diesels
Beam: 24
Draft: 310"
All exterior deck surfaces have gel coat, nonskid
finish or carpet is available. Each transom has molded-in swim steps and platform for easy
water access. These steps can be removed if the vessel is used as a head boat or fishing
vessel. Custom console placements are available. Steering is from the centrally located
steering station, which provides a low profile and low center of gravity.
The standard power is a pair of Yanmar 140 hp diesel
engines, which will provide a cruising speed of 9 knots. With the upgrade to 465 hp
Yanmars, the cruising speed increases to 21 knots (speeds may vary with load and sea
conditions).
The base vessel can be U.S.C.G. certified for 49
passengers; all construction meets or exceeds U.S.C.G. standards. With the addition of two
watertight bulkheads and a bilge piping system, the vessel can be certified for 149
passengers. Base price for the Caribbean 63 is $299,000. All custom deck arrangements will
be quoted separately. This vessel can easily be adapted to many uses, including dive
charters, dinner cruises, ferry operations, fishing, snorkeling or excursions. A second
deck is available at a cost of approximately $69,500. With the addition of the second deck
the certification can be increased to 149 passengers in U.S. waters and 250 passengers in foreign waters.
By utilizing large one piece fiberglass molds, we are
able to deliver a superior product in approximately four months construction time. We
appreciate your interest in the Caribbean 63, and look forward to building your new
vessel. Please call us with any questions.
